The Foshan pipe segment factory of China Railway Ninth Bureau Road and Bridge Branch
The Foshan pipe segment factory of China Railway Ninth Bureau Road and Bridge Branch is the first precast pipe segment factory established by China Railway Ninth Bureau. It is located in Shishan Town, Nanhai District, Foshan City, Guangdong Province, covering an area of 100 acres for the factory and 130 acres for the yard. The factory is equipped with 2 pipe segment production lines and 26 molds, with a daily output of 70 rings and an annual production capacity of over 21,000 rings, making it the largest pipe segment supply and dispatching base in the Guangdong region of China Railway.
To shorten the production cycle and increase output, the factory adopts steam curing for the maintenance of building components, with both the heating period and the constant temperature period being about 3 hours and 5 hours, respectively, and the constant temperature period temperature is 50°C. During these two periods, high-temperature steam needs to be continuously supplied to the curing warehouse to meet the curing temperature requirements, resulting in serious energy consumption.
The factory has replaced the steam curing process with a self-developed early strength high performance water reducing admixture by ARIT, combined with early strength-enhancing nano seeds admixture. Background
This pipe pile company is one of the top ten pipe pile manufacturers in China. At present, six workshops in a region of the company plan to switch from naphthalene-based water reducing agent to polycarboxylic acid water reducing agent. Therefore, they require the cooperation of water reducing agent manufacturers to carry out a series of technical support and experimental verification.
Project challenge
The issue of compatibility. Traditional pipe pile companies are used to use naphthalene-based water reducing agent in production, but the production process of naphthalene is not environmentally friendly and the output has been decreasing year by year. Polycarboxylate (PCE) water reducing agent is a kind of new product with high safety, high efficiency, environmental protection and high water reduction rate. By using PCE water-reducing agents, the steam-curing process can be eliminated, saving energy consumption. In recent years, the replacement of naphthalene-based agents with PCE has progressed rapidly, but different PCE water reducing agent products have varying adaptability to the cementitious materials and manufactured sand, and at the same time, it is necessary to solve the problem of the compatibility, retention and strength during the use of PCE water reducing agents.
